Sound insulation board SW-17/SW-30 is a composition of 18 mm special rubber mixture with unique properties, glued on a 12.5 mm plasterboard board. Installing these panels directly to existing wall partitions or ceilings provides additional sound insulation.
The panel SW-17/SW-30 has a thicker sound insulation rubber layer than the panel SW-12. Therefore, it is used when it is desired to install increased sound insulation by installing panels only on one side.

Advantages:
* Rubber granule panels have a higher density ( about 750 kg/m3 - 800 kg/m3 ) compared to conventional sound absorbing materials. For example, the density of stone wool is about 40 kg/m3, and the density of foam is up to 30 kg/m3. Installation
Sound insulating panels are installed with screws (not shorter than 60mm or 80mm) on the existing wall. It is recommended to fix each plate with at least 9 screws according to the given scheme. Note: The plate is plastic, so do not push through the screws.
In masonry, we recommend using galvanized screws with a sleeve, the expansion of which is as long as possible.
How much will reduce the sound/noise of the acoustic panel SW?
Installing the acoustic panel SW-12 or SW-17/SW-30 directly to existing wall partitions or overlays provides additional sound insulation of 9-15dB. To make it easier to understand what change occurs when reducing the sound by 9-15dB, it is possible to express the noise level isolation values as a percentage. Reducing the volume by 1 dB results in a barely perceptible reduction in sound, reducing by 3 dB results in a large and clearly noticeable reduction in sound, approximately 20% reduction in sound. If the sound level is reduced by 6 dB, it corresponds to about 35% sound reduction, and if it is reduced by 10 dB, it is equivalent to about 50% sound reduction. This means that after reducing the sound level by 10 dB, a person perceives it as twice as loud.
When the SW acoustic panel works in interaction with other materials, for example partition blocks 12 cm wide, it is possible to obtain a partition/wall that will ensure 55 dB of sound insulation. And such sound insulation will be achieved by adding only 5.5 cm of sound insulation material (2.75 cm on both sides).
