The 2023-2024 EISA Awards in the Automotive Electronics category have highlighted several exceptional products that have transformed the consumer experience of driving and travelling in a car. The innovation, high quality and improvement of the user experience of these products underline their uniqueness in the market. The awards were given to car amplifiers, speakers, a radio, a processor, software, and audio components for a motorcycle.
These EISA awards reflect that innovation and improving the user experience are the most important trend drivers in the automotive electronics sector.

Alpine HDS-990 Status - tape recorder
Designed for high-resolution music lovers, the Alpine HDS-990 Status adds HD WAV, FLAC, AIFF and DSD playback to any OEM system. Its electronics are housed in a 1-DIN black box that requires careful installation. Bluetooth and three USB ports are combined for high-level input to work with the vehicle's stock source, as well as a variety of output options. These include six-channel line-level outputs for an external amplifier, coaxial and optical digital outputs for separate DSP, and a high-level output tied to the unit's integrated four-channel power stage. The dashboard controller features unmistakable Alpine design, including a stunning 2.4-inch display, and when mixed with the OEM audio signal, no alerts or phone calls are missed. With the HDS-990 Status, Alpine has given us a head unit that combines seamless integration with top-quality performance.
Ground Zero GZUA 6SQ - amplifier
The Ground Zero GZUA 6SQ offers an attractive level of sound quality for a product in its price range: smoothness at medium and low volumes and vanishingly low distortion when the dial is turned up high. The six-channel amplifier consists of two, powered by a separate power supply and increased power, making it an excellent choice for three-way systems, while thermal management and heat dissipation improvements allow for convenient handling of low-impedance loads and channel switching. Offset adjustment allows the user to fine-tune the step between Class A and Class A/B operation, and therefore the sonic characteristics to personal taste. This is a great addition to the Ground Zero Uranium series, improving on previous two-channel and four-channel designs.
Mosconi Gladen One 8|10 DSP - amplifier
Italian manufacturer Mosconi's ONE amplifier series has long been celebrated for delivering top-of-the-line car audio at an affordable price, and now it has a new champion, the One 8|10 DSP. This eight-channel all-in-one model showcases new DSP software with great features and capabilities, including the recently added automatic phase correction. Two of the 90W rated outputs can be linked to drive a subwoofer and achieve high SPL without sacrificing the performance of the other channels.Furthermore, this attractive DSP amplifier retains the essence of the ONE series sound with a great sense of balance and coherence across the entire soundstage.
ESX QE812SP - processor
At first glance, the QE812SP is a state-of-the-art signal processor with an extremely wide range of audio features and excellent hardware. The signal from 12 output channels is benefitted by two 32-bit processor cores and AKM Velvet Sound converters, and its all-in-one approach will appeal to audiophiles. Audison's bit drive software is a great tool for getting the most out of the company's latest and upcoming DSP-based devices, whether entry-level or high-end. By adapting to the model it is being driven with and presenting its advanced features in a new, intuitive graphical interface, it simplifies use and speeds up complex tasks, while making configuration with standard systems a breeze. Input features include manual and automatic EQ cut-off, time and sensitivity calibration, as well as input linking, mixing and polarity. The tuning section is equally deep, with improved crossover controls for slope and frequency selection, advanced EQ options and independent channel adjustment. Support for electrical and acoustic measurements via a USB microphone is just another feature of the Bit Drive's unprecedented "toolbox".
Ground Zero GZPC 165.3SQ-ACT - speakers
With the GZPK 165SQ-C woofer, GZPM 80SQ-C midrange and GZPT 28SQ tweeter, Ground Zero has created a high-quality three-way system where meticulous design and premium materials deliver a great feel. The 165mm woofer and 80mm midrange units feature new ceramic-coated aluminum diaphragms for impressive dynamics. For high frequencies, they are complemented by the new Ground Zero 28mm fabric dome tweeter with a large rear chamber and magnetic grille that is no less powerful. At the heart of the top-of-the-range High Premium option is a Class D dual DSP amplifier that delivers a total of 1,195 kW of power to a 19-speaker system with an exclusive silk dome tweeter and cellulose cone mid-range and woofers. The two Italian brands worked together to design the sound system and the cabin to ensure the best performance, with materials selected to control reflections and optimize dispersion. The Reference and Ex3ma sound modes, as well as the 3D sound option, can be selected from a dedicated Sonus faber app on the car’s infotainment system, giving the driver and passengers complete control over their musical journey.
Helix Compose Platform - speakers
With the Compose platform, Helix introduces three speaker series – Basic, i3 and i7 – and a completely new approach to the car entertainment market.
