 The MODEL 30 continues Marantz's famous heritage of exceptional amplifiers. Tuned by a Marantz Sound Master who channeled his passion, experience and uncanny ear into amplifier design. |
 The MODEL 30 is built on a discrete circuit board, the Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module, or HDAM. By custom-building hundreds of individual parts rather than making a conventional solution, the MODEL 30 HDAM goes far beyond standard integrated circuits to create the unique musicality you've always come to expect from Marantz. |
 MODEL 30 maintains the purest possible sound and maintains the power needed to drive the most demanding loudspeakers. The output stage of the MODEL 30 amplifier delivers high power, producing a 2x100W load into an 8 ohm load and easily handles low impedance speakers with 2 x 200W output into 4 ohms. Since the feedback is taken after the output filter coil is such a switching gain design, the output frequency response remains the same and is not affected by the impedance of the connected speaker. This ensures the loudest sound regardless of the speakers. The amplifier module is directly connected to the MODEL 30 rear panel PCB to shorten the signal path and maintain signal purity and stability. |
 In addition to phono and CD analog inputs, the MODEL 30 has two line inputs and one pair of recorder I/O jacks for connecting multiple sources and recorders. Use the MODEL 30 as a stand-alone stereo power amplifier to complement your system configuration using the included direct power amplifier input. For example, use the front outputs of your AV setup and run them through MODEL 30 power amplifiers. |
 Conceived to deliver optimum sound quality by simplifying the signal path – crucial given the delicate nature of background signals – the MODono 30's Phono EQ stage can be used with both moving magnet and low-power moving coil cartridges, thanks to the built-in MC head amplifier. The design minimizes distortion, so the equalizer stage uses two stages of amplification, combining a Marantz HDAM with a JFET at the input stage, providing a high input impedance. This makes it possible to further simplify the influence of negative feedback by bypassing coupling capacitors, thus reducing distortion and improving signal purity. |
 For maximum sound optimization when using a moving coil (MC) or moving magnetic (MM) cartridge, and to accommodate all configurations as much as possible, the MODEL 30 has a built-in input impedance selector. The input impedance can be adjusted to three different settings: MC LOW (33 ohms), MC MID (100 ohms) and MC HIGH (390 ohms). |
 Like its counterpart, the SACD 30n streaming CD player, the MODEL 30 integrated amplifier is designed to the highest standards. The robust chassis is made of thick, heavy, non-magnetic aluminum plates and a solid steel top cover to prevent additional interference. Robust, brass-plated independent input connectors for CD and Phono plus Marantz original high-quality/high-purity nickel-plated speaker terminals ensure the best possible signal. |
