DESCRIPTION
The latest coreless direct motor manages to ensure extremely precise and stable rotation Technologies obtained from the creation of the SL-1200 series and the high-quality SL-1000R model were used in the motor unit, the main part of the turntable. The motor uniquely combines the single-rotor, coreless direct-drive motor applied to the SL-1200GR to ensure high rotational accuracy and precise reading of recording signals. The engine is optimally controlled due to the inert mass of the two-layer construction disk on which the plate is placed. The entire back surface of the disc is coated with damping rubber to eliminate unwanted resonance and rotational irregularities known as hooking in a cast aluminum disc.
Accurate reading of signals from plate grooves The pickup is a statically balanced universal S-shaped pickup, another Technics tradition. Adopting a high-precision bearing, the same gimbal structure and housing as the SL-1200 series, achieves high primary sensitivity. The cast aluminum body is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of ABS mixed with fiberglass to produce a two-layer construction. The isolator consists of a spring and rubber to ensure optimal vibration damping properties.
Audiophile grade head mounted The SL-100C comes with a pre-installed Audio-Technica AT-VM95C head so you can listen to your favorite tunes in high quality without a lot of setup. Pickup height can be easily adjusted in 6mm increments, allowing for the use of a variety of other heads.
The auto lift feature reduces wear on the plates and needle When the sound pickup reaches the end of the plate, the auto-lift function raises the head automatically. This avoids unnecessary wear and tear on vinyl records and the needle. By integrating an auto-lift function into the sound receiver, it is protected from shocks. Thanks to the simple design, which does not use motor power, there is no electrical or vibrational influence on the movement of the pickup. This feature was added due to user requests, keeping sound quality at the forefront. With minimal features, the SL-100C turntable remains easy to operate.
