The Helix P TWO 2-channel audio amplifier combines power and sensitivity in an absolutely unique way. With its 490 watts RMS output power into two ohms, this compact amp is capable of pushing even powerful dual voice coil subwoofers like the Helix Q series to the max. Despite its massive power, this is by no means a pure woofer amplifier. The Ultra HD Class D concept combines the top class AB sound quality with the advantages of Class D amplifiers. The result is a frequency response longer than 40kHz with a high damping factor, minimal distortion and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

Plenty of power and sensitivity – the new P TWO combines two talents in an absolutely unique way. Due to its RMS output power of 2 x 490 Watts into two Ohms, this compact amplifier is able to drive even powerful subwoofers to the max. The technical design is literally predestined for all woofers with 2 x 2 Ohms dual voice coil like the new HELIX Q subwoofers.

But despite its sheer force, the P TWO is by no means a pure subwoofer amplifier. On the contrary, the Ultra HD Class D concept combines an extended frequency response above 40 kHz with high damping factor, minimal distortion and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Therefore, this amplifier is likewise a perfect buddy for heavy-duty front speakers in audiophile system concepts.

Features

  • "Ultra HD Class D" concept which combines the high-end sound quality of Class AB technology with the benefits of Class D amplifiers
  • Two speaker outputs with 490 Watts RMS each at 2 Ohms
  • Digital, optical signal input in SPDIF format including SPDIF Direct In switch for routing the digital input signal directly to the power stage
  • BurrBrown DA signal converter of the latest generation with a resolution of 32 Bit
  • Integrated, active crossover with highpass, lowpass, bandpass and configurable bass boost
  • Smart high level input with ADEP circuit
  • Cable remote control for volume adjustment
  • Compact design with low heat dissipation thanks to extraordinary efficiency

Special features:

Ultra HD Class D amplifier technology
Compared to conventional Class D amps, this concept achieves an extended frequency response to more than 40 kHz in combination with reduced distortion thanks to an advanced integrated feedback design. Ultra HD Class D achieves outstanding, "Class AB-like" sound quality combined with the efficiency of a Class D amplifier.

Signal converters with a native resolution of 32 Bit
The HELIX P TWO uses for the optical input a high-class DA signal converter of the latest generation with a native resolution of 32 Bit instead of the common 24 Bit. The result is an unprecedented precision in signal conversion that especially optimizes the sound quality at lower signal levels.

Smart high level input
The latest generation of OE car radios incorporates sophisticated possibilities of diagnosing the connected speakers. If a common amplifier will be hooked up failure messages and loss of specific features (eg fader function) appear quite often - but not with the P TWO. The new ADEP circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection) avoids all these problems without loading the speaker outputs of the OE radio during high volumes unnecessarily.

Start-Stop capability
The switched power supply of the HELIX P TWO ensures operation even if the battery's voltage drops down to 6 Volts during engine cranking.
