The player is fully compatible with the latest smartphones, such as the iPhone 7 or Galaxy S7, and enables the use of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the player's high-resolution 8" touch screen.
DAB+ digital radio receiver, video playback from USB, HDMI connection and the most advanced Bluetooth technologies - all this is also integrated in this player.
You can even choose one of three navigation solutions: the X803DC-U integrated iGo Primo NextGen navigation system with TomTom maps and a 3-year free map update period. You can also use Maps navigation with Apple CarPlay or Google navigation with Android Auto. Both systems - both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - can use the Alpine navigation antenna to determine the current position more accurately.
High resolution WVGA touch screen
The 8-inch high-resolution WVGA screen allows you to control the entire system with a touch screen, the latest image reproduction technologies ensure an exceptionally clear, high-contrast and high-resolution image. Thanks to these technologies, navigation maps are displayed in stunning detail, and the quality of movies or videos creates the feeling of a real cinema. System control is convenient and intuitive, designed to perfectly integrate into your car. A wide spectrum of screen lighting colors will allow you to choose the one you like the most and fits the design of your car.
8-inch screen with 1 DIN housing
In many cars, you can find a place for players with a 7- or 8-inch screen, but very often there is no space for a player with a 2-DIN case. The new SMART is an example of one such car. To solve this problem, Alpine has created the X803DC-U, a player with an 8" screen and a 1 DIN body size. By using the mounting kits produced by Alpine for specific car models, you will be able to perfectly install the player and make the player look like it was installed in the car in the factory.
Works with Apple CarPlay
The X803DC-U, which works with Apple CarPlay, allows you to use your iPhone smartly while traveling. Apple CarPlay enables iPhone users to make or answer calls, use maps, listen to music or view messages in an incredibly intuitive way with a voice command or a simple touch of the screen. Stay connected and enjoy Spotify, online radio or music on the go. Simply connect your CarPlay enabled iPhone to the Alpine player's USB port and you're ready to go!.
Works with Android Auto
Android Auto was designed with traffic safety in mind. Convenient and intuitive user interface, integrated control with multi-function steering wheel buttons, new voice commands - all this is designed so that you can focus on safe driving. Android Auto automatically provides you with useful information in individual notes when you need it. Both systems - both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - can use the X803DC-U navigation antenna to determine the current position of the car more accurately.
DAB+ digital radio
The integrated DAB/DAB+/DMB receiver uses the most advanced digital technologies to ensure stable and clean reception of radio programs. DAB+ also provides many additional advantages compared to FM broadcasts: a much wider selection of radio stations, convenient selection of radio stations by name or genre of the broadcast program.
USB and HDMI connections
You can connect USB memory sticks or portable players and play music or MP4 video recordings. The X803DC-U also has an HDMI connection for connecting an additional Alpine DVE-5300 DVD player or other portable media player with HDMI output. If your phone manufacturer offers an HDMI adapter for a smartphone, you can connect your phone and view photos or videos directly on the Alpine screen (additional cable or adapter required). The X803DC-U's HDMI port can also be used as an output for connecting additional monitors.
Note: HDMI output is only for transmitting HDMI input signals, so you will not be able to view USB videos, navigation screen, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto content on screens connected to HDMI output.
High-end sound setting functions
X803DC-U will fill your car with excellent quality sound, the bass sound of which is strengthened and the overall frequency balance is regulated by BASS ENGINE SQ's most advanced sound processor, which provides many sound adjustment options - digital time correction, frequency filters and a double 9-band parametric equalizer. Best of all, you can adjust all these settings from your smartphone with the Alpine TuneIt App. Also for your convenience, Media Xpander, 24-Bit DAC and 3 pairs of linear (4V) outputs.
Hi-Res Audio playback
The Alpine player can play audio in FLAC format - including 24/96 and 24/192 Hi-Res Audio.
Integrated iGo Primo NextGen navigation
iGo Primo NextGen is one of the best navigation apps out there right now. Together with Alpine technical equipment and processor power, you will get a very accurate and fast navigation system for your car. For example, calculating the travel route from Munich to Paris takes just a few seconds. The system is equipped with many useful and unique navigation functions, starting with partial address recognition after entering only a part of the address, TMC traffic information messages, 3D landmark icons and many other functions. It also includes data on hundreds of thousands of points of interest (POIs), making it easy to find a restaurant or other location.
TomTom maps and free map updates for up to 3 years
The navigation system is only as good as its maps: the X803DC-U uses excellent TomTom maps of 48 European countries. Even three years, counting from the first activation of the navigation, from alpine.naviextras.com you will be able to download and update the maps of your Alpine navigation system for free - with no restrictions on how often you can update the maps. At the end of the 3-year period, you will be able to purchase map updates for the desired region or the whole of Europe at a very attractive price.
park4Night inside
This navigation system comes pre-installed with the popular park4night camper software. The extensive database offers over 120,000 camping sites across Europe and works fully offline on the go anywhere you are. You can search right on your Alpine screen for your next camping site by category, country or region - along your route or at a final destination. Icons give you detailed information about the opening hours and available services of each camping site (such as WiFi, laundry or waste-water disposal availability) and you can see the distance, user ratings, comments and even images to pick the right camping site for your needs. Call ahead or start route guidance to your selected camping ground with a single push of a button. There is an annual update of the database to include all the latest camping grounds and up-to-date user ratings and comments. park4night inside comes pre-installed on all Alpine X903 DC series motorhome navigation systems shipped after June 1 st 2020. You can also add the park4night database to any X903 DC series purchased prior to this date by purchasing and installing MHS-P4N (park4night USB update stick). Note: X901 and X902 series systems are not compatible with park4night.
Specify the dimensions of your car
One of the unique features of this navigation system is that you can specify the height, length, width, weight of your car, as well as whether or not the car has a trailer. During route calculation, these data are evaluated and the most suitable route is selected according to the parameters of your car.
Enter the cargo parameters
The parameters of the transported cargo can be no less important than the dimensions of the vehicle: in many areas there are strict restrictions on the transportation of dangerous goods. This navigation system calculates the route according to the specified parameters of the cargo (explosive, flammable, toxic, etc.), avoiding areas prohibited for the transportation of such cargo.
Interactive navigation with Apple CarPlay
Maps will help you reach your destination by notifying you of upcoming intersections and providing easy-to-read visual warnings. As you approach an intersection, the map screen is magnified so you can clearly see which direction you need to go. Along the entire route, large signs and directions will mark the required direction and warn you of how much travel is still left. Looking for a gas station, restaurant or cafe on your route? New buttons on the navigation screen will help you quickly find the nearest gas station, restaurant or cafe and indicate how long it will take to get to the selected place. Press the navigation button on the X803DC-U twice and you'll directly activate Apple CarPlay without wandering through the options menu.
Interactive navigation with Android Auto
Let Google Maps show you the way. Travel is easy with free navigation with voice directions, constantly updated traffic information, lane guidance and many other useful features. Whether you're using it on your phone or your car's player screen, Android Auto was designed with road safety in mind. Larger touch buttons, convenient and simple control, all this allows the driver not to be distracted and concentrate on the main goal - driving safely. The X803DC-U works seamlessly with Android Auto and Google maps. Android Auto can use the X803DC-U navigation antenna to determine the current position of the car more accurately.
GPS and Glonass
More satellites - more accuracy. This Alpine player works with GPS satellite signals and also accepts Glonass satellite positioning data. This is a big advantage when traveling in areas with many high-rise buildings and mountains. With Apple CarPlay navigation and Glonass, you'll appreciate this improvement very quickly.
Integrated Bluetooth® technology
The integrated Bluetooth® module allows you to connect the phone wirelessly and use it for hands-free conversations. A very intuitive control interface allows you to easily select the required microphone and volume settings. Speed dial buttons are for frequently used phone numbers. Bluetooth® also allows you to listen to your phone's music or even internet radio broadcasts through the Alpine sound system.
Connection to the car's Data-Bus system
If your car has a parking sensor system, the X803DC-U will allow you to continue using this parking assistant. Alpine data-bus interfaces will allow you to connect the navigation to the car's data system. This allows you to continue using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel, the information of the air conditioning system and the parking assistant can be seen on the player screen. You will even be able to see directions from the navigation system about upcoming intersections on the multifunction display on the speedometer (if the car's system supports this function).
Cameras for driver assistance
The rear view camera is a great help when parking. This camera is activated automatically when the reverse gear is engaged, and the car's dimensional markings displayed on the screen can be adjusted according to the measurements of your car. Alpine makes a range of front and rear cameras for cars, including cameras with different viewing angles controlled by touch screens in the players. You can see both the camera image and parking sensor information on the player screen at the same time.
Favorites
Wouldn't it be convenient to see the most needed phone numbers, favorite radio stations, and most frequently needed travel addresses on one screen? That's what the Favorites option does. Press the audio button for one second to activate the Favorites option.
Voice control
Press the VOICE button on the Alpine player or the multifunction steering wheel (if it supports this function) and you will activate SIRI or OK Google. You can make a call, tell the navigation system the destination, dictate and send messages or simply say the name of the song you want - these are just a few possible examples. It's a very advanced way to control the Alpine system and drive safely at the same time.
