High resolution 9" touch screen
Turn your car's dashboard into part of a high-class cinema: the highlight of the Alpine system is a high-definition 9" diagonal screen - the largest screen you can imagine on a Volkswagen dashboard. In fact, it's more than twice the screen size of the original 5" diagonal VW Golf 6 player RNS 310/315 screen. This extra-large screen will blow you away with high-definition picture quality - you have to see it to believe it.
Multifunction steering wheel buttons
The Alpine system is connected to control with multi-function steering wheel buttons. This means that after installing the Alpine system in your car, you will not lose the convenience of controlling it with multifunctional steering wheel buttons - volume, phone, record switching and many other commands. If you have an iPhone, you can even activate Siri by pressing a button on the steering wheel.
Driver information screen
A small display on the dashboard also remains connected to the Alpine system and displays radio station names, song and artist information, calls, navigation next turn indication and much more.
Parking sensors
Does your car have the original parking sensor system? After installing the Alpine multimedia system, you will not lose this parking system. The parking system connects to the Alpine and you will see the parking system information on the screen. When parking, the music volume is turned down so that you can hear the parking system's warning signals. The display screen of i902D-G6 / X902D-G6 2nd generation parking systems is even more detailed.
Rear view camera
Does your Golf 6 have a rear view camera? You can also connect it to an Alpine system (requires an additional adapter). The camera is activated by engaging the reverse gear.
Car parameters information
The Alpine system is fully compatible with the Golf 6 electronic system, so you can see car information on the 9" screen, such as oil temperature or turbo pressure.
Compatible with Dynaudio sound system
Alpine Style systems are compatible with the original Golf 6 Dynaudio sound system. Additionally, the KWE-DY01G6 interface is required to connect the Alpine Style player to the Dynaudio amplifier.
Start-up logo
The Alpine system is activated automatically when the driver unlocks the car with the key. Upon activation, a welcome logo lights up on the screen and the system boots up so that it is fully ready for use when passengers get into the car. Alpine provides 4 basic welcome logos (Golf, GTI, GTD or R), but it's very easy to create your own personal logo and upload it to the system.
Air conditioner screen
The i902D-G6 / X902D-G6 provides on-screen information about the selected temperature of the driver and passenger areas, air conditioning system settings, seat heating, fan, etc. The information of these parameters lights up on the screen for a few seconds when you adjust them.
Wireless charging console
A very convenient Golf 6 improvement - a wireless charging console KCE-G6Qi . This small rubber pad fits perfectly in the center console of the Golf 6 and provides Qi-type wireless charging for phones equipped with this technology. KCE-G6Qi can be used with any Golf 6 original radio or other sound system.
Enjoy the big screen
On the large screen of the Alpine system, you will be able to watch movies, music clips or TV shows from different video sources - DVD (optionally installed), USB media, smartphones with HDMI interface (additional cable or adapter required) or other video sources. You can also connect your iPod or iPhone and enjoy videos on the 9" diagonal high-definition screen. You can watch TV programs during traffic jams - the new Alpine DVB-T2 tuner (TUE-T220DV) is for this. For traffic safety, video playback is only possible when the car is parked.
Works with Apple CarPlay
The innovative i902D-G6 / X902D-G6, working with Apple CarPlay, allows you to use your iPhone smartly while traveling. Apple CarPlay enables iPhone users to make or answer calls, use maps, listen to music or view messages in an incredibly intuitive way with a voice command or a simple touch of the screen. Stay connected and enjoy Spotify, online radio or music on the go. Simply connect your CarPlay-enabled iPhone to the Alpine player's USB port and you're ready to go!
Works with Android Auto
Android Auto was designed with traffic safety in mind. Convenient and intuitive user interface, integrated control with multifunctional steering wheel buttons, new voice commands - all this is designed so that you can focus on safe driving. Android Auto automatically provides you with useful information in individual notes when you need it. Both systems - both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - can use the i902D-G6 / X902D-G6 navigation antenna to determine the current position of the car more accurately.
Integrated Bluetooth® technology
The integrated Bluetooth® module allows you to use a mobile phone by connecting it wirelessly. Regular software updates ensure connectivity with the latest phones. Intuitive user interface makes use easy and simple. Bluetooth® allows you to stream music from your phone: audio recordings or even Internet radio broadcasts are transmitted wirelessly to the Alpine sound system.
Connect your smartphone
Don't want to use Apple CarPlay or have, for example, an iPhone 4 / 4S? You can plug it in and listen to music in your car or charge your phone.
DAB/DAB + digital radio
The integrated DAB/DAB + /DMB receiver uses the most advanced digital technologies that ensure stable and clean reception of radio programs. DAB also offers many additional advantages compared to FM broadcasts: a much wider selection of radio stations, convenient selection of radio stations by name or genre of the broadcast program .
Additional DVD player
Expand your Alpine system with DVD and CD playback. DVE-5300G fits perfectly in the place of the original VW CD player in the Golf 6 storage compartment. The image quality is ensured by HDMI technology, and you can control the player with the touch screen of the system. The package contains all the parts required for installation.
Hi-Res Audio playback
The Alpine player can play audio in FLAC format - including 24/96 and 24/192 Hi-Res Audio.
Professional equalizer
The i902D-G6 / X902D-G6 provides the widest range of sound settings so you can tune the Golf sound system to your needs and requirements. Built-in dual 9-band parametric equalizer allows for professional fine-tuning of front and rear speaker settings separately. An additional adapter is required to connect the Golf 6 Dynaudio sound system KWE-DY01G6 .
Standard sound settings
10 standard sound settings allow you to quickly switch to different sound equalizer settings such as Rock, Pop or Jazz.
Fader and balance
Move the listening position cursor on the touch screen to the desired location in the car interior to change the fader and balance settings.
Frequency filters
The digital frequency filter allows you to set the limits of frequency filtering so that the audio signal matches the parameters of the car's speakers and the sound is reproduced cleanly without distortion.
Digital time correction
Time correction allows you to virtually adjust the distance from each speaker to the listener's position, delaying the time of the closest speakers. This creates the feeling that the listener is in the center between the speakers.
Mobile navigation
Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are equipped with excellent navigation apps that can be controlled and displayed on the Alpine 9" touchscreen. This is especially convenient for drivers who need navigation infrequently and do not need additional navigation functions such as highway mode, etc. If you are going to use these navigation apps when traveling outside your home country, be aware of internet data charges abroad.
Direct access to mobile navigation
On the right-hand side of the i902D-G6's button area is a large navigation button that, when pressed, Alpine automatically activates mobile navigation - both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
GPS and Glonass
More satellites - more accuracy. This Alpine player works with GPS satellite signals and also accepts Glonass satellite positioning data. This is a big advantage when traveling in areas with many high-rise buildings and mountains. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto use Alpine's satellite signal antenna for more accurate positioning.
Mobile navigation with Apple CarPlay
Maps will help you reach your destination by announcing the upcoming intersections by voice and providing easy-to-read visual warnings. As you approach an intersection, the map screen zooms in so you can clearly see which direction you need to go. Along the entire route, large signs and directions will mark the required direction and warn you of how much travel is still left. Looking for a gas station, restaurant or cafe on your route? New buttons on the navigation screen will help you quickly find the nearest gas station, restaurant or cafe and indicate how long it will take you to get to the selected place. Press the navigation button on the Alpine player twice and you will directly activate Apple CarPlay without wandering through the options menu.
Mobile navigation with Android Auto
Let Google Maps show you the way. Travel is easy with free navigation with voice directions, constantly updated traffic information, lane guidance and many other useful features. Whether you're using it on your phone or your car's player screen, Android Auto was designed with traffic safety in mind. Larger touch buttons, convenient and simple control, all this allows the driver not to be distracted and concentrate on the main goal - driving safely. The i902D-G6 works seamlessly with Android Auto and Google maps. Android Auto can use the Alpine player's navigation antenna to determine the car's current position more accurately.
